Adding plugins in Notes 8.0.1

I wanted to add the "Quickr plugin" for the Symphony document editors to my notes client after completing a new installation of 8.0.1.

The install instructions are a little sketchy but are included in the comments at that link.
One issue I had was the option "File - Application - Install" was missing from my Notes menu options.

The work around, as provided by developerworks, is to edit the plugin_customization.ini in the /framework/rcp directory.

Add this line to the /framework/rcp/plugin_customization.ini file:


com.ibm.notes.branding/enable.update.ui=true

After you restart the Notes client, you see a new menu option: File - Application - Install.

Obvious really.
